How is it going?

Sisters, I had so much fun at the RS social last night. The talk from Brother Smith about us all being Daughters of our Heavenly Father meant so much to me. It put things in perspective.

I hope you have had a wonderful week filled with accomplishing your goals. Remember baby steps!!

We all need each other

"I'm not happy, I'm cheerful. There's a difference. A happy woman has no cares at all. A cheerful woman has cares but has learned how to deal with them." -Beverly Sills

So, yesterday I had a meltdown. Yep. Not a tiny one...oh, no...a pretty major one. It started at church, continued in the car, going into the house and once we got in the house...I turned into a puddle. Not a pretty site to see. I was stressed, overwhelmed, tired, cranky and ready to jump ship.

Then an amazing thing happened...my Visiting Teachers showed up. They actually got to hear my ranting and raving as they had opened the back door, hollered in and asked if we were home. I was so embarrassed.

Jenny and Amber sat down at my kitchen table and asked if I was alright. My reply? More ranting, complaining, whining. My VT got the works!

Finally I settled down long enough for Jenny to smile, put her hand on mine and say "I'm so glad we're here for you today."

Suddenly my tirade stopped. I looked sheepishly at Amber and Jenny and began apologizing for my outlandish behavior. Had I just gone on and on about all my problems? Yeah, I had.

Jenny and Amber assured me everything would be okay. And I believe them.

They shared a wonderful lesson with me then Jenny said a beautiful prayer that truly touched my heart. By the time they were getting ready to leave I felt like a whole a new person. I am so grateful for my VT!!

Sisters, the point to this entry today is while we're losing weight, making our beds, organizing our homes, magnifying our callings, etc it is essential we surround ourselves with each other. I know that our Heavenly Father sent Jenny and Amber to my own yesterday because that was exactly what I needed...an understanding sister!

I grew up an only child and I am so grateful for the amazing sisterhood we have in our Branch!! Remember I am here for you...Kristen is here for you!! Let us not try to go through life alone...let us, instead lean on one another.

Happy Monday!!! See you Tuesday at 7PM.

Love,
Les

Hello, Sisters. Just checking in to see if many of you have checked out our Blog yet. Please leave a comment when you come by!! Kristen and I would love to hear from you.

Also if you have something to share please just e-mail me or Kristen.

I hope your week is going great so far!! Remember, don't overwhelm yourself. Take it one day at a time. Progress not perfection.

**Just a note...NO, our house wasn't broken into. It's a long story and we did think that...but everything is fine!!

Also, a reminder about our Scrapping night at church Friday night. It's for Moms and Daughters (at least 5 please) or just you. Come and scrap with us!! It starts at 6:30. Scrapping is a great way to focus our minds on something other than food:)
Bring a healthy snack if you want.

Keep on going, girls. Never, ever give up!
